Matt Hulett Joins Yapta Board of Directors

Former President of Expedia Corporate Travel Lends Strategic Counsel to Yapta Business Services

Seattle, WA – January 31, 2012 – Yapta, the corporate travel industry’s only independent provider of airfare price assurance, today announced the appointment of Matt Hulett, former President of Expedia Corporate Travel, now Egencia, to its board of directors. Hulett, who currently serves as the President of GameHouse, the games division of RealNetworks, will lend his business insight and knowledge of the corporate travel sector to Yapta.

“Matt has successfully led many growing businesses through a variety of stages, including startups and turnarounds from travel, e-commerce, advertising and gaming sectors,” said Ken Myer, president and CEO of Yapta. “His experience will be heavily relied upon as we build out our business services offering and continue to achieve early savings benchmarks with our enterprise pilot customers.”

Prior to serving as the president of GameHouse, Hulett was the CEO and Chairman of AdXpose, the fastest growing online ad optimization company that was purchased by ComScore in August 2011. Before AdXpose, he was president of the corporate travel division of Expedia, Inc., today known as Egencia, where he launched the corporate travel business from an idea to a billion dollar worldwide leader in under two years. Prior to Expedia, Hulett was a founding partner of the next-generation entertainment company, AtomFilms, a firm backed by both Sequoia Capital and Macromedia that was purchased by Viacom for $200 million. He was also the founding consumer products leader at RealNetworks, launching many of the company’s most successful products including the RealPlayer and its premium subscription software businesses.

“The opportunity for Yapta to penetrate the corporate travel space is ripe as travel managers and procurement executives are finding it increasingly difficult to reduce travel spend in environments that are already heavily optimized,” Hulett said. “Yapta can help these companies find additional savings at absolutely no cost, enabling them to squeeze even more out of their travel budgets. I’m looking forward to working with Yapta’s executive team to help them capitalize on their prospects.”
